Opportunities to serve within the United Free Church of Scotland

So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.’ Ephesians 4:11-13 (NIV)

It is our desire as a denomination to see believers equipped to serve in the varying ministries God has called them to. God has allowed each different experiences, training and calling and in a changing world we want to best equip those called to serve in sharing the unchanging good news of the gospel. For some they may be at the beginning of the journey and be looking to be recognised as a Student for Ministry, for others further along the journey they may come with a wealth of experience in ministry and be looking to serve within the United Free Church and for yet others it might be a calling to serve in the capacity of a Ministry Assistant bolstering and supporting the churches within the denomination. The information below gives a snapshot of some, but not all, of the pathways into ministry within the United Free Church of Scotland and gives a sense of what that might look like. Of course we would be happy to chat with anyone who feels Gods calling on their life and we encourage you to make contact here.
