Congregation formed 26th October, 1930 from minority of Torry Church, a Free Church of the Disruption. Church opened on15th April, 1933. Halls extended and renovated, 1978.

Membership 1929 from local congregations. Services in Good Templar Hall. Moved in 1931 to Masonic Temple, former High Street UF Church. Temple bought and opened as church on 30th May 1936.

An Anti-Burgher congregation, reckoned to be the first congregation of Highland Seceders, formed about 1756. The continuing minority of Nigg:Chapelhill congregation obtained the Park Meeting House (a UP mission hall) in Balintore and opened it as their church on 7th December, 1932. Vestry added later and new hall opened 1973.

CARNOUSTIE ERSKINE (18 Kinloch Street DD7 7EF)

Constituted 27th April, 1931, by members of the former Erskine UF Church which entered the Union. Services in YMCA Hall until 14th January, 1934, when the Original Secession Church was bought. Old Library acquired as hall, 1978 and disposed of when Church was renovated and hall added in 1990.

A Free Church dating from 1846. Entered Union 1929. Group of members later withdrew and formed Continuing congregation, 5th February, 1933. Church opened on 17th June, 1933.

DOUNBY (Orkney)

Congregation inaugurated 7th December, 1930, by Continuers from surrounding district. Services fortnightly or monthly until 1944, when Dr W I Ernslie served as voluntary pastor until 1963. Church opened on 9th March, 1949.

Inaugurated 2nd March, 1930, by minority of St James' UF Church. Services in Masonic Hall, later in Town Hall. Church opened on 18th September, 1937, and hall on 21st January, 1961.

Formed 1929 by Continuers from local and district churches. Met in Angus Hall until former picture house in Castle Street opened 10th December, 1932 as Knox's UF Church. Former St Luke's Church purchased, and opened 6th May, 1954.

Church built sometime between 1820 and 1839. Originally Congregational, later Free (1891), the pro- Union minority held the property in1929. The Continuing majority met in Public Hall until their former church was handed back and opened on 4th October, 1931. Vestry and vestibule added 1958.
