by minority of West UF Church. Met in Town Hall till church opened on 3rd

on 29th October, 1984. Initial membership consisted of a substantial minority
from the former Dalreoch Church (a quoad sacra parish created in 1873)
who declined to enter a union, seceded from the Church of Scotland and
successfully petitioned for recognition as a congregation of the United
Free Church; recognised as a church extension charge in 1986. New church
building erected in 1989.

DUNTOCHER:West Congregation formed
1779 by Seceders from Old Kilpatrick Church and Greyfriar's Church, Glasgow.
Church opened 1822. Entered Union 1929. Church closed January, 1976. Congregation
re-entered United Free Church, June, 1976. Church building handed over
by Church of Scotland. Rededicated 18th October, 1977, after extensive
renovation.

A minority of Candlish
Memorial UF Church along with members of district congregations formed
this congregation in 1929. They worshipped in the Dixon Halls until the
church opened on 17th May, 1936. The Wynd congregation originated as a
Free Church in 1874 and was named after the location of its first building
in Wynds near Trongate. It moved to the south side of the city in 1877
and the church was opened in 1888. Redevelopment of the area so affected
the site that the church was left in an isolated position, and in 1983
it united with the Candlish congregation in their building.

Charge began 1935 in a wooden hall erected by Langside and Cathcart members.

(Glen Morriston Road) Services commenced in
school autumn, 1976 by Rev John Banks. General Assembly 1977 launched £100,000
appeal for new extension charge, and a new church was opened on 24th January,
1981.

(Corner of Inchfad Drive) Following work in Drumchapel
by BTI students, Christians from City Mission backgrounds and converts
of the All Scotland Crusade, gathered for worship, encouraged by Knightswood
congregation. The congregation was formally constituted in September, 1958.
Church opened on 24th April, 1965.

(2144 Great Western Road) Group of UF members,
mostly North Woodside, commenced services in March, 1933. Congregation
constituted 1937. Church opened on 6th March, 1937. Church badly damaged,
hall demolished by air raid, March 1941. Church reopened 4th April, 1943.
Hall completed 1953. Two storey extension opened on 18th May, 1968.

UF Church, formed 1932, a breakaway from Govan United Free Church. Opportunity
taken to build church in new housing area, opened on 11th May, 1935. Church
demolished for roadworks. Replacement church and halls opened on 26th February,
1966.

Andrew Square A UP congregation 1865.
Church opened on 3rd November, 1867. With its minister, Rev Charles F Fleming,
the congregation continued in 1929. Interior of the church and all records
destroyed in blitz, May 1941. Reopened on 1st September, 1951.
